Subjects Covered

The Longwall Library covers all subjects studied at Magdalen, as well as an extensive film collection. Magdalen's Rare Books collection is particularly strong in early medical and botanical books (collections given by John Goodyer and Nicholas Gibbard), plus the 19th-century scientific collection of Charles Daubeny. There is an expanding collection of rare material dedicated to notable Magdalen alumni, including Oscar Wilde and T.E. Lawrence
