Opening Hours

Note that opening hours may sometimes change at short notice. If travelling to visit a library you are advised to check with the library to confirm details.

Term time:

Old Warden's Lodgings: Reading Rooms: Daily, 7.30am - midnight. Info desk/ library office: Mon - Fri 8.30am - 6pm. Mob Library: Daily, 8:30am – 2:00am.

Vacation:

Old Warden's Lodgings: Mon-Fri 8.30am - 6pm (reading rooms and info desk), Sat-Sun 7:30am-6pm (reading rooms only) Mob Library: Daily, 8.30am-midnight.

Closed:

The library is usually open to members of Merton College, unless exceptional circumstances demand a temporary closure, which will be advertised

Notes:

OPEN TO MEMBERS OF MERTON COLLEGE ONLY Archives, Manuscripts, Early Printed Books and Special Collections may be consulted by all bona fide researchers by appointment only on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Books of the modern collections may be consulted if held by none of the Oxford University libraries. Please email in advance to arrange a consultation appointment.
