Out of Hours Support

The IT Support Helpdesk is staffed during normal working hours, from 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday. At present no formal cover is provided beyond these times from BDLSS and the ICT Support Team, nor from OUCS for the wider University, though staff from these units do respond to emergencies on a best effort basis.  In the event of a critical service going down outside these hours, please contact one of those named below.

Examples of problems that could reasonably be considered as critical in this context:

  • SOLO or email being generally unavailable
  • disconnection of an entire library from the University network
  • all libraries unable to access our electronic resources

Please check with colleagues in other libraries to be sure that a problem is system wide and sufficiently serious before taking this step.
