We have an iPad 2 available for loan. A whole range of scientific apps have already been pre-installed. More details can be found on our LibGuide (http://ox.libguides.com/ipad2).
Booking the iPad
If the iPad is out to another reader, you may place a hold on it using SOLO. You will receive an E-mail notification when the iPad is ready for you to collect.
Borrowing the iPad
Go to the Enquiry Desk on Level 4 of the RSL and ask if the iPad is available to borrow. If you have a hold on the iPad, let the desk staff know. There are a few conditions on who can borrow the iPad:
- You must be a full, current member of Oxford University to borrow.
- You will need to sign a loan agreement which makes you liable for any costs arising from damage or loss of the iPad while in your possession.
- If the iPad is not returned on or before the due date you will be charged a £10 fine.
The iPad will be loaned to you for 7 days. No renewals are allowed.
Documentation and Further Help
The box on the right of this screen contains a downloadable PDF copy of the iPad loan agreement. You should read this carefully before you borrow. You can also print it out and sign and date the form and bring it with you to the library. This will save time when collecting the iPad.
If you have any questions please ask a member of staff at the Enquiry Desk in the Library.
