Using the Library

Readers are welcome to work in the library. Books should be left for staff to reshelve. There are 54 seats in the Main Library and Computing Resources room and 6 seats in the Oval room.

Laptops may be used in the Computing Resources Room and the side desks of the Main Reading Room. For internet access using a cable the laptop must be scanned in the Bodleian Library.

Wireless internet access is available either through OWL, which requires VPN to be installed on the laptop, or via Bodleian-Libraries wireless service using your University/Bodleian Card barcode number and password.

Photocopying, printing and scanning may be carried out on the PCAS machine situatied near the Lecture Room and paid for from your PCAS account. For more information please consult the Guide to PCAS
