Library Regulations

In order to protect the books and encourage a pleasant working environment:

Books should not be lent to other readers but returned to the library as soon as you have finished with them.
This is a no smoking building.
Readers must not eat upstairs, i.e. in the library, library lobby or Lecture Room. Only bottled water may be used in these areas.
All mobile phones and pagers should be silenced before entering the library. Please do not use your phone at all in the library.
The library and library lobby are quiet areas; readers should not disturb people working in the library.
Breaches of library rules may incur suspension from the use of the library. Serious cases will be reported to the relevant college and the University Proctors.
Readers will be charged replacement costs for lost, damaged or defaced books.
