Library Regulations
In order to protect the books and encourage a pleasant working environment:
- Books should not be lent to other readers but returned to the library as soon as you have finished with them.
- This is a no smoking building.
- Readers must not eat upstairs, i.e. in the library, library lobby or Lecture Room. Only bottled water may be used in these areas.
- All mobile phones and pagers should be silenced before entering the library. Please do not use your phone at all in the library.
- The library and library lobby are quiet areas; readers should not disturb people working in the library.
- Breaches of library rules may incur suspension from the use of the library. Serious cases will be reported to the relevant college and the University Proctors.
- Readers will be charged replacement costs for lost, damaged or defaced books.
