Disabled Readers
The Library is located on the first floor of the Philosophy Centre; there is a lift and wheelchair access. The Common Room and a wheelchair accessible toilet are on the ground floor.
General equipment available in the Library:

one PCAS machine (printing, cpoying & scanning)
- 3 wheelchair accessible pc’s.
Special equipment:

a hearing loop fitted at the Issue desk,
-
task lights in the Computing Resources Room,
-
‘Easi view’ magnifier, (ask at issue Desk),
-
coloured paper for photocopying and printing (ask at issue Desk),
-
coloured acetate overlaying sheets (ask at issue Desk).
Working in the library
Library staff will be happy to help with the use of the catalogues, library equipment, and fetching books from the shelves. Help with moving library chairs and ladders, doors and the lifts is also available on request.
Loan arrangements (please contact the librarian Dr. Hilla Wait)

extended loans are available to disabled readers,

email and telephone orders for items can be made for disabled readers,
-
books can be collected and delivered to the college of a disabled reader.
Core texts are increasingly available electronically and links to them can be found via SOLO.
Individual session on the use of e-resources in philosophy may be arranged with library staff.
