From October 2011 we will be lending iPads to University students and staff at both the Cairns Library and Knowledge Centre.

The loan period will be for two days.

The iPads have a wide variety of medical apps and books pre-loaded onto them, including:

• The Oxford Handbook of Clinical Medicine
• Doctor’s Toolbag
• PubMed on Tap
• Apple productivity software (Keynote, Pages, Numbers, Papers)

The iPad can access the University wireless networks OWL and Eduroam, which are available throughout the John Radcliffe, Churchill and Horton Hospitals, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centres and other Oxfordshire Hospitals and Health Facilities - please see here for more details.

• Could you catch up on articles you’ve been meaning to read?
• Add some variety to your study routine by using it to revise or help find the information you need by accessing medical databases, ebooks or ejournals (SSO password required)
