Journals

The Bodleian Health Care Libraries house over 550 print journal titles. Please check on SOLO to see if we have the print journal you need. SOLO needs to be updated constantly, and may not always be accurate. Phone 21936 or contact us directly if you'd like to double-check whether we have the particular issue you need.

In addition you have access to an ever increasing range of e-Journals  through NHS or University subscriptions.

Requesting journals from other libraries

If the journal you need is not held in Bodleian Health Care Libraries or available online, it may be possible for the Document supply service to order it from another library. You can also order journals from the Radcliffe Science Library Stack, using the Automated Stack Request service; contact us for further details.

Finding ISSNs

Locate an ISSN (the unique eight digit number assigned to every serial publication) via the Journals Database on PubMed.

Finding impact factors

Locate an impact factor (the measure of the frequency with which the "average article" in a journal has been cited in a particular year) via Journal Citation Reports on the ISI Web of Knowledge. This database is available on University network PCs. University members can access the database outside the University network, using their Single Sign-On login at OxLIP+.
