Libraries and reading rooms
Principal collections
The Taylor Institution Library provides the principal resource for teaching, learning and research in Modern Languages other than English.
Associated collections
The Bodleian Library's legal deposit collection constitutes a significant reference resource for material published predominantly in the UK and North America. Before the opening of the Taylorian in 1848, the Bodleian also acquired foreign language material by purchase. The University Language Centre Library has a range of textbooks, videos, magazines and other materials for the learning of foreign languages.
Important e-resources
Intute for Modern languages gives access to a range of high quality electronic resources. A major bibliographical research tool (for locating e.g. journal articles and book reviews) is the MLA Bibliography, accessible through OXLIP+.
