Baker & McKenzie

Baker & McKenzie have made a generous contribution to the Bodleian Law Library. Initially, their generosity allowed us to refurbish the large seminar room, and make it available to students for discussion groups and other purposes, such as preparation for the Jessup Moot Competition. The room, now named the Baker & McKenzie Seminar Room, is used on a regular basis throughout term time for faculty seminars. Students are also able to book the room and use it for discussion groups and small group study.

This generous support commenced in 2003. Baker & McKenzie are providing funds to assist with the development of the collection, enabling the purchase of text books and many databases. These invaluable resources would otherwise not be available to our students and faculty.

Databases purchased include Constitutions of the Countries of the World; Foreign Law Guide, and Juris Classeur, a comprehensive databse of French legal materials.

At a time of reducing central funds, it is wonderful to have these excellent resources available to the Oxford law community.
