Finding sources online

Initiatives to digitise primary source materials are increasingly gathering pace. The types of digital primary source materials that might be of interest to historians include the following:

  • Digitised manuscript and printed documents (charters, chronicles, diaries, letters, memos, broadsides, etc.)
  • Digitised printed contemporary publications (tracts, pamphlets, books, newspapers)
  • Digital data and statistics (census, surveys, etc.)

A listing of these resources are in the History section of OxLIP+. They are broken down by period.
