Film Studies at the EFL
The English Faculty Library has a well-established collection of books and journals on Anglo-American film as well as over 2150 DVDs/videos covering such genres as film noir, the western, horror and melodrama. The film collection also includes a number of Shakespearean productions and other films of general literary interest.
All films are listed on SOLO, Oxford Libraries’ catalogue (select 'Audio Visual' from the drop-down item list) to limit results to only films of that title).
The Film Studies Collection Management Policy across the Humanities Libraries is available to download in PDF format (just click on the title link above to download).
Please note that the EFL film collection complements the European and World Cinema collection at the Taylor Institution Modern Languages Faculty Library.
All queries relating to the film collection should be addressed to Helen Scott, Film Studies Subject Consultant, Taylor Institution Library. Tel. 01865 (2)78155
