2016 Closure: 20th June - 3rd October

Delay to EFL reopening

Delays in the building work project mean that the EFL will not be able to re-open, as planned, on Monday 3rd October.

We hope to re-open at some point on Tuesday 4th October. For the latest information and updates, please see our Twitter account

Major building work is taking place in the St Cross Building during 2016, with the aim of improving access and circulation in the building, and adding new facilities such as a cafeteria.

The Library will be closed for the whole of the 2016 Long Vacation while the entrance to the EFL is relocated.  There will be no access to the EFL's collections during this time.

EFL staff will be temporarily located in the Humanities Office in the Upper Reading Room of the Old Bodleian. Anyone who has concerns about access to the particular resources they think they will need over the summer is welcome to contact EFL staff directly in person or by email efl-enquiries@bodleian.ox.ac.uk.
