PCAS logo

Use the Bodleian Libraries PCAS system to copy or scan in libraries and to print from Library PCs or your laptop or other mobile device.

Please note: the PCAS system changed on 6th September 2016.

The information on this page refers to the new version. For more detailed information about the changes, please see the Bodleian Libraries website

I have University/Bodleian reader card

Everyone with one of these cards now has an account created automatically. The login details are the same as you use for logging in to Library PCs or the Bodleian Libraries wi-fi. If you have a Bodleian reader card, you will also use this log in for accessing your account on SOLO.

The username is the number printed close to the barcode on your card. The password is your date of birth entered in the format 23MAY2001 (unless you have changed this to a password of your choice.)

You can add credit to your account using a debit/credit card by visiting PCAS Webpay. You can also ask Library staff to add credit to your account for cash payment - this service is not available at all libraries.

You can add credit to your account using a debit/credit card by visiting PCAS Webpay from any internet connection. You can also ask Library staff to add credit to your account for cash payment.

How do I copy or scan?

There are two multi-purpose machines for printing, copying and scanning on the upper floor of the Library. They offer identical services except that the smaller copier/printer is only A4 size. Both offer colour copying/printing.

Before copying or scanning, you must log on to the copier/printer using your PCAS account details. If you have a University or Bodleian Reader's card, you can link the card to your PCAS account. On subsequent visits you can then simply touch your card to log in. For instructions on how to link your card, see the guide Getting Started (PDF).

For information on how to copy or scan, please see the guides below. You will also find printed guides by the copier/printers.

  5. A list of your print jobs will appear, select the one you want or all jobs.
