This is the accessibility statement for the Bodleian Libraries' website. It covers the main site at www.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/. Other sites which are linked from the top level are not covered by this statement. Work is continuing to further improve the accessibility and usability of the site.
If you have any questions or comments about the accessibility of this site, please contact the webmaster.
Navigation aids
Top level pages use a consistent navigation system (visually, a blue bar across the top of the page, and to the left of the page). A breadcrumb trail appears on each page to show the context of the page within the site.
Tables
Tables are used mainly for layout purposes.
Images
Most content images used in top level pages include descriptive ALT attributes. Purely decorative graphics include null ALT attributes.
Visual design
This site uses cascading style sheets for visual layout. If your browser or browsing device does not support style sheets at all, the content of each page is still readable. The website also uses relative font sizes, that allow text size to be changed in visual browsers.
