Disabled Readers
The Bodleian Japanese Library makes every effort to assist readers with a disability.
If you wish to discuss access to the building and any assistance the library is able to offer you, please contact japanese@bodleian.ox.ac.uk .
Access to the library
The entrance to the Library is on the ground floor of the Nissan Building. To reach the ground floor of the building from street level, avoiding steps, there is a separate ramped entrance on the St Antony’s College side. It is advisable to telephone the library in advance if planning to use this entrance (01865 284506).
There is a lift in the building for access to the BJL basement book stack (please contact a member of staff for assistance) and an accessible lavatory on the ground floor.
